Award Nominations
Help SCAEA recognize outstanding educators from across the state!
Nominate a member of the arts community for their outstanding commitment, involvement, and support. Awards will be presented during the fall SCAEA conference at our annual awards ceremony. Questions, concerns, comments, please email awards@scaea.org.
Our SCAEA Awards, Grants and Scholarships program objectives are to
- recognize excellence in the many outstanding individuals, programs and supporters of art education in South Carolina;
- focus professional attention on quality art education and exemplary art educators;
- increase public awareness of the importance of quality art education;
- set standards for quality education and demonstrate achievement;
- provide tangible recognition of members’ achievements;
- earn respect of colleagues; and
- enhance professional opportunities for SCAEA members.
SCAEA members who meet the established criteria, and non-SCAEA members where applicable, are eligible to receive an SCAEA award. Please review the criteria for each award as listed under the link before completing your nomination.

We’ve made the SCAEA Awards nomination process easier than ever with a quick and simple nomination form—no lengthy applications required!
Take a moment to recognize the outstanding art educators, arts organizations, and businesses that are making a difference in arts education across South Carolina. Submit your nomination by July 1, 2026.
After the deadline, three finalists will be selected in each award category, and we’ll follow up for additional details for the judging process.
