To all the members of the SCAEA,

THANK YOU for allowing me to serve as your president these past two years. You are an exciting, creative, and fun group. I have always loved the way SC art educators share and support each other. This is not common in other education disciplines.  But, we are better than the others. We are a tribe that cares. Thank  you for YOUR efforts to keep art education growing and improving for our students.

The students deserve teachers like you.

Hello everyone,

As I prepare to begin my tenure as SCAEA's president, I feel both honored and excited, as well as a great sense of appreciation for the tremendous work of the association's leadership. I would like to thank Steve Bailey for the hard work and commitment that he has shared on behalf of the organization. He exemplifies the meaning of a teacher leader and has been an outstanding model and mentor for many of us. Personally, I cannot thank him enough for his endless support over the past two years as we planned the conferences in Columbia and Greenville. He has provided countless hours to our organization and our members would agree that he has helped raise SCAEA to greater heights.  With your energetic involvement, active participation, and strong sense of advocacy, South Carolina Art Education Association will continue to grow in membership and innovation. I am looking forward to working hard and continuing the awesomeness in 2012.
